De firma Ning heeft enige tijd geleden besloten de gratis service waarvan we tot nu toe gebruik konden maken te staken. Het Ning-netwerk zal daarom helaas moeten verdwijnen. Misschien is er wel een geschikte Facebook-groep om bij aan te sluiten...

Onlangs stuurde Ning - de leverancier van de webapplicatie waarmee deze
muziekliefhebbershoek gemaakt is - een bericht aan alle beheerders van
Ning-sites dat de service op niet al te lange termijn een betaalde dienst gaat
worden. Leuk voor de profi's, maar wat mij betreft, voor een aardigheidje als
dit Langzame Muziek-prikbord, een brug te ver. Heeft iemand een goed idee voor
een alternatief? Een Facebook-groep oprichten? Een weblog met onbekommerd
publiek toegankelijk password? Of met de pet rond en hopen dat Ning daarvan -
als ze eenmaal "over" zijn - betaald kan worden?

Muziek die als het ware traag, statig, ingehouden voortschrijdt. Muziek waar je
een langzaam gevoel bij krijgt. Die de tijd neemt, zonder helemaal tot
stilstand te komen. Muziek die nog steeds beweegt, maar dan volkomen onthaast.
Natuurlijk: het is geen genre, het is geen muzieksoort, het valt niet onder een
bepaalde noemer in de bakken van de laatste platenzaken, en er zijn ook geen
tags waarmee je in digitale catalogi kunt zoeken op muziek die op de
bovenbedoelde manier Langzaam is. Op Radio 6 zijn bij verschillende
gelegenheden uitzendingen geweest met louter Langzame Muziek: in het programma
